 Raid progress this week has been swift in coming, as many guilds have fought in Northrend to keep back the forces of the Scourge invasions. For the week ending 21st December 2008, in addition to those guilds who cleared Naxxramas amongst the top ten for the realm, these guilds have also fought bravely to strike down Kel'Thuzad. Congratulations to them, and may they all get the rewards they deserve for their efforts.

 On 19th of December a vital blow was struck against against
the plots and schemes of the Dragon Aspect, Malygos. The Lord of Magic
sought to cease the reckless use of magic by using his boundless powers
to destroy those who dared to use it. Endless, mortal as they were, had
no desire to lay down and die. They fought continually, unbroken by the
arcane onslaught, fighting with everything at their disposal until
victory was in their sights. With the power of the Red Flight besides them they battled on until the fights conclusion, and Malygos came to know the pain of defeat; in the end, he could do nothing but accept the finale his actions had led towards.

The attacks of the undead armies seem to continue without
end, ever rampaging against the mortal races of Azeroth. In the face of
the destruction what is less often mentioned is that the defense
against the scourge has been just as persistant. On the 13th December,
determined to take the first step towards stopping the fighting once
and for all, Endless stepped forward, taking the fight to the Lord of
Naxxramas Necropolis and one of the Lich King's most devoted
supporters. Come 23:30 they had proven that while their resolve may be endless,
he certainly was not.

 On 10th of December Nox braved the harsh colds of the Borean Tundra to make their way to Malygos' Sanctuary. They fought the Dragon Aspect into the late hours of the night, and as his arcane power lashed against them and crackled in the air they continued to work to find the way to strike him down. When the time came, Alexstrasza the Lifebinder was there as Malygos fell, to gift the guild with her blessings for their aid and to lead the drakes of her flight home.

Genesis have become the latest to travel to Coldarra's Eye of Eternity seeking out the Spellweaver. Malygos, enraged by their invasion and their attempts to halt his crusade against those using Magic, tried to strike them down, going so far as to remove the ground beneath their feet, but Genesis were determined not to give in, fighting on to defeat the Dragon aspect and claim Alexstrasza's gifts as their reward on the 8th December at 23:59.

From within the safety of the Eye of Eternity, Malygos had believed he was well prepared to fight off those that the other flights sent against him. Determined to rid the world of those abusing mortal magic, he couldn't believe his luck when a rag-tag team of mortals walked into his lair of their own Volition. Unfortunately for the mad dragonlord their teamwork and coordination meant that by 23:15 on the 8th of December his luck had run out, leading to his defeat.

Unwilling to see all the spoils of Naxxramas going to the current wave of Alliance armies, the Horde forces have begun to organise themselves further. On the 8th December the Bloodthrust Clan forced their way through the portal and into the necropolis before taking control of the Construct Quarter and the Frostwyrm Lair, having AOEed Thaddius, Sapphiron and the overlord Kel'Thuzad down at 23:30.
