Storm the Castle!
It's been a busy week inside the Cataclysm raid instances. Major cities are now teeming with 85's and many guilds have quickly assembled groups to head into the new raids.
First blood went to MCO, with their Omnitron Defense System kill on December 9. This was the first Cataclysm raid boss to be killed on the server and got ranked World 73.
This kill was followed up by Original, who took down Halfus Wyrmbreaker a few hours later. Their kill was an outstanding rank of World 49.

Â
MCO killed Halfus soon after, and have taken the lead by claiming all the remaining realm firsts thus far. They have now downed 6 out of the 12 bosses in the first tier of content.
On the 25-man side of things Wrath has caught up to MCO, also clearing 6/12. The race is on for Cho'gal, Al'Akir and Nefarian, which will unlock the heroic modes for the three beggining instances.
There are also reports of whale sharks geting ganked by former prey, four buggy Volcanic Stone Drakes carrying their riders in their bellies, and most importantly Argaloth, the dynamic and exciting Pit Lord in Baradin Hold, being downed by every mediocre PuG that wanders in.
Connecting.... Success!
Â

The first day of Cataclysm draws to an end in a few minutes. Millions of people, from all walks of life, fired up their WoW at some point during December 7. There's an expectant atmosphere everywhere you go, and quite a few characters already at level 85. Those dedicated players that managed to level their class to maximum level first and beat the competition were awarded with a Feat of Strength, as well as a server-wide flashing message to announce the accomplishment.
The realm first to 85 was claimed by TarasÃn, at 10:00 AM server time on the dot. (10 hours after release). Wowprogress rankings lists this as #67 worldwide.
The silvers go to a joint feat by Bidaum & Ruoste. Both hunters dinged 85 together and received their feat at 12:34 PM. Worldwide #362.
Bronze goes to Croazil, who became the fourth level 85 and won the feat for being the first warrior on the realm to do so.
Of course not everyone stayed up until the high morning to level, some dedicated themselves to clicking a bobber to achieve the Realm First Illustrious Grand Master Fisherman feat, or buying out overpriced materials from the leveling hordes to power their professions to the cap for their particular achievement. However by and large most players simply laid back and took part in the camping of ogres, Sethria and any other limited spawn quest mob that was needed by hundreds of players to advance further. Some relieved their stress at having their quest mob ninjaed over and over by throwing themselves off cliffs, others simply logged off for the night and waited for the competition to move on.
For those still levelling the prize of achieving max level pulls them ahead through the long hours, while those already there are preparing for the masses to catch up, running dungeons and looking ahead to the first raid bosses & Tol Barad PvP to come very soon.
A fair number however, including yours truly, are off to bloody bed to catch up on some much-needed sleep.
Death Dethroned: We're on a Raid to Nowhere
Well we know where we're goin' but we don't know where we've been.
And we know what we're knowin' but we can't say what we've seen.
Sorry, where was I? Unfortunately Raid to Nowhere seem to be adhering to that, and whatever happened when their group of 25 infiltrators stole into Icecrown on April 22nd, and whatever they may have seen while they were there, is being kept firmly under wraps. We may not know what means they employed to achieve their goals, but what is known is that by 20:30 the Scourge was no longer under the control of Arthas; by that point they had seen to it that his journey was at an end.
Death Dethroned: Halted by Hive

When Plan Bee is better than Plan A.
On 11th April Hive gathered their forces and sent a group of 25 of their elite troops into Icecrown Citadel to put an end to the Lich King's scheming once and for all. As they faced off against Arthas and the forces he mustered to aid in his defense, they called upon Tirion Fordring to help even the score, and by 22:25 they had removed him from his seat of power.
Toppling the Throne: 10 Man Clears

The possibilities are Endless?
Earlier this week a group of raiders set forth into the heart of the frozen Citadel, and on the 3rd April a group of 10 from Endless fought their way to the Throne where they issued a challenge to the Lich King who lay in wait. The fight was frenzied, but their ceaseless determination allowed them to gain the upper hand so that by 21:58 he lay defeated before them.
