Default How to bank honor for Season 8

Just a little guide to those who would be interested in going into Season 8 without having to grind as many battlegrounds.

#1 - get to the honor cap: 75000 honor. Be sure to not spend anything of it. If you've got it before you've started mark grinding (see #5), you can afford to get 2-3 epic gems out of it.

#2 - buy 5x Commendation of Bravery for 100 arena points each.

Note: If you don't have any arena points whatsoever, get a few friends/randoms, buy a 5v5 team charter, and lose 10 times. You will get 344 arena points. Afterwards, complete 3x Daily PvP and you'll be sitting over 400 points. Complete 4 more dailies during the week-long pause between seasons (points will *not* get reset until Season 8 itself starts, so you've got time.

#3 - start doing Wintergrasp as frequently as you can for Wintergrasp Mark of Honor, and do random dungeons while you control WG to get as many Stone Keeper's Shards. These in turn can be used to buy Wintergrasp Commendations, a basic 2000 honor ticket that can stack to 250 (confirmed by a GM).

Tip: as Season 8 gear has not yet been leaked, there is the possiblity that new PvP trinkets from WG come out. Thus, unless you're a human, it would be wise to save Wintergrasp Marks of Honor until you know for sure. They can be used to buy the Commendations even in Season 8, so you lose nothing by waiting.

#4 - do not turn in the last week's Wintergrasp Dailies and last day's BG Daily. You will get a bonus of around 25k honor for them, and an additional 60 shards (aka bonus 4k honor) and 25 arena points for them, if you turn them in after Season 8 has started (and, of course, you've consumed some of your honor down below the cap).

Tip: it would be wise to keep the quest Southern Sabotage/Toppling the Towers as soon as you complete it, as this is by far the hardest quest to complete. You may not get during the last week no matter how hard you try, so sitting on it is recommended - you only gain 1250 effective honor if you're at the honor cap, anyway.

#5 - do as many of each battleground as you can. By this, I mean to get marks for the Concerted Efforts/For Great Honor repeatable quest. Depending on queue times and win rate, this can prove to yield anywhere between 10 to 40k honor, if you grind it out during the last week.

That's pretty much it. Have fun!
